The Southern Great Barrier Reef is set to bring the warmth and beauty of Queensland to the heart of a chilly Melbourne winter next week in preparation for the Australian Tourism Exchange 2024 (ATE24).

54 Bundaberg Region businesses are celebrating today after being named a Best of Queensland Experiences (BOQE) by Tourism and Events Queensland.

The region's events play a pivotal role in weaving the fabric of its economy, attracting visitors, enhancing its profile, and fostering community pride, by creating employment opportunities and engaging the local community. Whether they are music festivals, foodie feasts, arts and culture events or live sports, each event shares the heart, soul and spirit of Bundaberg and the Southern Great Barrier Reef. 

Beloved personalities from Bundaberg will grace the screens of homes across the nation this March, through Channel Nine's lifestyle program, My Way.

Bundaberg Tourism (BT) travelled to Sydney to connect with more than 450 media professionals and international and domestic travel brands at TravMedia’s biggest International Media Marketplace (IMM) Australia to date in February 2024.

The Southern Great Barrier Reef (SGBR) has been on the world stage with the tourism industry attending a number of trade missions to grow destination awareness and visitation in key international target markets.
