Destination Management Plan Workshops

Let’s co-design the future of the Southern Great Barrier Reef destination.

Join us for an exclusive series of Destination Management Plan workshops as we embark on a new chapter for the visitor economy across the Southern Great Barrier Reef (SGBR) region. As SGBR, this next Destination Management Plan will be bold, creative and visionary, setting the strategic direction for our regions to work together towards achieving our ambitious targets for the next 5 – 10 years.

These sessions will be the first of a series of workshops hosted in both Bundaberg and Gladstone regions, as we seek to explore your thoughts, ideas and opportunities on what the game changers are for the SGBR.

Your input is invaluable in guiding the future destination management strategies for the SGBR.

Why are we doing this?

Recently, the Board of Directors of both Bundaberg Tourism and GAPDL, were joined by the Mayors of Gladstone and Bundaberg Regional Councils, and the CEO of Tourism and Events Queensland to formalise an agreement to establish SGBR Tourism Ltd., a new tourism and destination management organisation. Help shape the future of tourism in the Southern Great Barrier Reef region! We look forward to seeing you there!
