Business Excellence Awards Focus on Business Success

Celebrating success is an integral part of any business and with nominations now open for the Bundaberg Regional Chambers of Commerce 2021 Business Excellence Awards this is an ideal time for our region’s businesses to celebrate and be recognised for their achievements.

The aims of the Chamber Business Awards are to recognise and reward business excellence within their industry, provide networking opportunities and assist businesses in sharing success and developing new relationships.

“These awards are the ideal platform for businesses to be recognised for their valued contribution to the community and encourage innovation, business excellence and good corporate social responsibility practices. It has been a tough year and it is more important than ever to support each other through these awards” said Yale Morgan, Bundaberg Chamber of Commerce President.

The awards are open to any businesses that are currently operating in the Bundaberg Region within the Bundaberg Regional Council Boundaries, as defined by the Queensland Electoral Commission, which can highlight excellence in their achievements and operations.

“It is important to take time out of our busy schedule and acknowledge what we are achieving as a business but also as a region. We have seen some industries struggle due to the impacts of Covid 19 but on the other hand other businesses have benefited” said Yale.

Employing more than 5000 people in the region, the tourism and hospitality sector is a big part of what makes the Bundaberg region tick. Bundaberg Tourism are coming on board with the Business Excellence Awards again this year, with three categories especially for those businesses that contribute to the visitor experience.

“We are proud to partner with the Bundaberg Regional Chambers to bring to life the Business Excellence Awards again this year. Pulling together your award submission can be a rewarding experience, as you reflect on the past 12 months of your business, the challenges and opportunities. The process supports improved business planning, development and internal analysis for all businesses, and it also gives us the chance to showcase those businesses that are doing great things!” shared Katherine Reid, CEO of Bundaberg Tourism.

Nominations will open this week and we encourage the community to get online and nominate any business for an award. That business will then receive an application pack and be invited to enter an application. Applications will be open for a 6 week period from 20 August and closing on the 1st October 2021.

The Awards Night will be held on Saturday 9th October at the Bundaberg Multiplex with the theme of Excellence En Blanc where guests will be encouraged to wear white and be a part of the theme.
