Bundaberg Rum celebrates three new award wins
Bundaberg, 6 February 2019: Kicking off 2019 with a bang, Bundaberg Rum has just scooped three new awards for their Queensland distillery and Spirit of Bundaberg Festival, seeing off many international competitors to put the Bundaberg Rum Visitor Experience firmly on the map as ‘World’s Best’. The recent influx of awards across the Distillery continue to establish the Visitor Experience as a bucket list tourist attraction for domestic and international travellers.
Already Australia’s most awarded rum distillery*, the Bundaberg Rum Visitor Experience picked up the award for The World’s Best Distillery Retail Experience, along with The World’s Best Distillery Event for the Spirit of Bundaberg Festival at the Drinks International Spirits & Distillery Tourism Challenge 2019 and was awarded Gold at the Queensland Tourism Awards 2018.
The latest awards mark the third year in a row that the distillery has scooped such prestigious titles from The Drinks International Challenge Series, which aim to recognise innovation and excellence amongst distilleries and associated businesses. Bundaberg Rum Distillery has previously won: - World’s Best Distillery Retail Experience in both 2018 and 2017; and
- World’s Best Distillery Event in 2018 and 2016 for The Spirit of Bundaberg Festival.
The Queensland Tourism Awards are a new win for Bundaberg Rum, where it scooped Gold in the Tourism Wineries, Distilleries and Breweries category and Silver for the Tourism Attractions category. The accolades mean that the Distillery will now be entered as a finalist representing Queensland at the Australian Tourism Awards in March.

About the Bundaberg Rum Visitor Experience
The Bundaberg Rum Visitor Experience offers two tour experiences in addition to the famous distillery tour.
The Bundaberg Rum Museum allows tourists to walk through a series of converted 75,000L oak vats while learning of the proud, rich history behind one of Australia's favourite spirits.
The museum also has the world's largest collection of unique Bundaberg Rum bottles. The Blend Your Own Rum Experience includes a Bundaberg Rum Distillery tour, rum tasting, rum blending masterclass and two 700ml bottles of personalised Bundaberg Rum to take home.
