The announcement of Bundaberg’s 50 Most Influential People in 2018 has highlighted the importance of the tourism industry within the region, with 13 of the movers and shakers on the list tourism representatives or directly involved in tourism activities through Bundaberg North Burnett Tourism (BNBT) membership and involvement in campaigns and events.
The News-Mail with the help of 5 judges revealed the list on Tuesday 6 March 2018, stating “It was no easy task with nearly 100 names put forward.”
No. 9, and the first woman on the list, is BNBT General Manager Katherine Reid. Katherine has achieved so much in her five years with BNBT from developing the region’s trade-ready product, building the destination offering - in international markets, establishing strong working partnerships with Bundaberg and North Burnett Councils and much much more.
