TRAINING SERIES CELEBRATES INCLUSION IN ACTION

Bundaberg Tourism is taking a bold step toward creating a more inclusive future with the launch of its Accessible Event Training Series.

This initiative, delivered as part of the Bundaberg Region Inclusive Legacy Building Project, aims to equip event organisers and businesses with essential skills to make events welcoming for everyone, including people living with disabilities.

In collaboration with accessibility consulting experts GetAboutAble (GAA), five virtual training modules will run throughout February 2025, offering practical insights and strategies to elevate the accessibility and inclusivity of destination events.

Why accessibility matters

For people living with disabilities, accessibility is not a luxury—it’s a necessity.

Inclusive events not only remove barriers but also enrich experiences for all attendees.

With this training series, Bundaberg Tourism is empowering local operators to take the lead in shaping an inclusive tourism industry, building a stronger, more connected community.
