PROJECT UPDATE - Bundaberg Region Inclusive Tourism Legacy Building

The past few months have been extremely busy for BT's marketing team, with Connie working with Wide Bay Kids to roll out the Bundaberg Region Inclusive Tourism Legacy Building project.

The project will elevate the accessible tourism experiences within the region and allow us to set a benchmark for accessibility standards in the tourism industry across the region, and has been funded through the Queensland Government’s Access Project Grant.

Key milestones to date include:

• The delivery of training package Introducing Accessible Tourism in region by GetAboutAble in August;

• Commencement of the Accessible Destination Guide with assessments and photoshoots taking place across the Region last week;

• Commencement of VaycayIt's destination content creation, and opportunities for operator to be involved now open for EOIs;

• In partnership with BRC, PartyHigher's Immersive event date has been confirmed - stay tuned for details!

More than 30 operators and venues have actively engaged in the project so far.
