The Seaside Festival You Can’t Miss

For one salty day only, the Rotary Club of Bundaberg Sunrise puts on its annual Oceanfest at the Bundaberg Port Marina. Held Saturday 28 August, 10am – 5pm, guests can find themselves relishing in everything you can do, eat and enjoy out on the ocean. Here are our top 5 reasons you need to be at Oceanfest:

1. Fresh Caught Seafood

Is there anything better than fresh caught seafood? We didn't think so! Get your hands on the best and freshest seafood the Bundaberg region has to offer. Enjoy it prepared for you by a great list of food vendors or take it home to try your own culinary wizardry with.

2. Foot Tapping Tunes

The live entertainment will be in full swing at Oceanfest featuring a line-up of local acts. From the smooth jazz sounds of The Trad Lads, to high energy duo Abby Skye and the Batman, there will never be a dull moment.

3. The Marina Marquee Luncheon

Enjoy a delicious seafood platter for two catered by the Rotary Club of Bundaberg Sunrise in partnership with Alowishus. With platters served featuring Banana Prawns, Spanner Crab, Moreton Bay Bugs, Smoked Spanish Mackerel and fresh oysters, you won't want to miss out on snapping up a table in the Marina Marquee. Be sure to get in quick, bookings are essential!

4. On the Water Action

It's not just about eating delicious seafood at Oceanfest (even though that does sound like an amazing day out!) you can also try your hand at a range of activities out on the water. Whether your itching to wet your line with a spot of fishing, or your eager to awaken your passion for sailing, there are activities for everyone.

5. Stunning Scenery

Situated at the beautiful Bundaberg Port Marina enjoy a day of sunshine and sea breeze while you look out over the marina. Pack the picnic blanket for a picnic on the grass with the family or bring your camera and capture some photos of the landscape, you might even get lucky and spot some whales playing (don't forget to #visitbundaberg to get your images featured on our pages)!
