WOODGATE BEACH
A 16km stretch of protected beach offering calm clear waters, oceanview properties, and ample space to set up your chair to watch the waves softly lap the shore, Woodgate Beach is the perfect place for a holiday away from the hustle and bussle. At the Northern end of the township is Theodolite Creek, a popular spot for stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking and fishing. Whether you’re planning a day trip or overnight escape, this local gem is a must.

ELLIOTT HEADS
Venture from country to coast with just a short 15min drive from Bundaberg’s bustling CBD, and arrive at local haven, Elliott Heads. From passing towering rows of sugar cane, macadamia trees, and sweet potato crops on your way, let panoramic views of effervescent blue waters and translucent white sand greet you upon arrival. Known as Bundaberg’s equivalent to Whitehaven Beach, this picturesque coastal town offers something for everyone. With its unique location at the mouth of the Elliott River, beach goers can enjoy the cool calm waters on the river’s edge or, for those seeking some adventure on the water, Elliott Heads Beach is a haven for kite surfers and jet skiers. Hugging the shoreline you will also find the regions iconic basalt rocks which play home to a range of marine animals among the rock pools that dot the shoreline at low tide, just over the edge you will also find fringing coral, and other curious marine life.

RIVERVIEW
Nestled on the northern bank of the Elliott River estuary, Riverview provides an array of opportunity to get out on the water. This area is renowned for its great fishing with a boat ramp and pontoon to cast a line and catch tonights dinner or watch the fish weave through the mangroves from your kayak.
Local tip: While making your way towards Riverview, we recommend making a tasty stop into Tinaberries. If you have time, choose one of their delicious farm-fresh home made ice creams to enjoy among their lush garden surrounds while getting competitive with their variety of lawn games. You can also grab some to takeaway and enjoy while soaking up the sweeping views at Riverview.
INNES PARK & CORAL COVE
Innes Park offers creek swimming and reef within reach, Palmers Creek provides shady picnic areas with safe swimming spots perfect for a Sunday family outing. Barolin Rocks offers reef within reach with colourful coral, reef fish and other underwater marine life you can access from the mainland. You may even spot a dugong!

KELLY’S BEACH
Kelly’s Beach offers a popular, surf lifesaver-patrolled beach as well as ‘The Basin’, a protected calm swimming spot popular for families with young kids. Put on your snorkels and check out the fish that swim in these waters or catch the tide into the causeway. This popular swimming hole is also home to many shaded beach BBQ spots, a playground and family-friendly accommodations just a short, leisurley stroll away.

BARGARA BEACH
Bargara Beach is a family friendly beach offering winding board walks, eateries, cafes and the popular Turtle Park playground. Dogs are welcome (on leash) and toilets, showers, shaded tables and BBQ areas are also available. With so much on offer, choose to do things at your own pace and enjoy the beachside bliss of Bargara.

NIELSON’S BEACH
Located at the northern end of Bargara, Nielson’s Beach offers patrolled swimming, a playground, skating rink and skate park, and an outdoor hald court basketball court. Also available are toilets, showers, change facilities, shaded tables, picnic areas, bbq’s, cafe at the Surf Club and Shop at the Caravan Park just across the road. It is also home to The Beach Mill kiosk, and sister business to local favourite The Windmill Cafe, Bargara.

MON REPOS BEACH
From November to March each year the sandy dunes of Mon Repos Beach come alive at night as mother turtles nest and baby turtles make a dash to the sea for the annual turtle season. Streatching for more than 6km and sheltered by the regions unique basalt rocks, this turtle rookery is a secluded cove key towards turtle research. During turtle season, public access to the beach is closed at night, but you can witness this ancient circle of life journey on a Mon Repos Nightly Turtle Encounter under the guidence of a trained turtle ranger. Outside turtle season, be sure to tick this historical site off your bucket list and explore the stretchy expanse these ancient mariners return to, uncover the journey sea turtles make and conservation efforts of the Queensland Parks and Wildlife rangers that dedicate their time to research to helping the turtles go! With the sound of the waves lapping the shore and lush bushland around you, sit back, relax and soak up this historic beach.

OAKS BEACH
This small beach in Burnett Heads is good for snorkelling, fishing, rock walking, swimming or surfing and is one of the regions coastal hidden gems. Check out the South Head Parklands where you will find playground equipment for all ages, skate park, wide spaces to kick a ball around and BBQ and picnic facilities for you to fill you belly while enjoying ocean views. Oaks Beach also offers partorlled surf lifesaving during peak seasons, with times and dates of patroll available on the Queensland Surf Lifesavers Beachsafe Website. Dogs are prohibited.
MOORE PARK BEACH
Moore Park Beach is a 20km stretch of sandy beach and is perfect for every member of the family, even the four-legged kind with the southern end of the beach dog-friendly. The beach is patrolled by the Surf Lifesaving Club during the summer and there is a caravan park, motel and holiday units to cater for all your accommodation needs. Enjoy spending some quality time with the family and quiet seclusion which Moore Park Beach offers.
Looking for some adventure? If you have a high clearence 4WD, explore the sandy tracks of Moore Park from the northern access at Royal Palms, just north of Sylvan Drive, and head towards the Kolan River while admiring the natural surrounds. You can also explore Moore Park from the south entrance point via Lassig Street. Keep an eye out for shorebirds, and avoid driving during turtle season.
BAFFLE CREEK
The furtherest point north along the coast sits Baffle Creek. Baffle Creek provides many kilometres of waterways for fishing, crabbing and boating, so why not put the pots in, drop a line and try your luck? Grab the kids, or your mates and enjoy a picnic in the shade or drag out the kayaks for a paddle. Home to lush eucalypt forests, subtropical rainforest, dry rainforest and littoral rainforest making the perfect retreat for wildlife, make this your holiday to Baffle Creek an escape with nature and unwind in the tranquil surrounds.
